Pizzeria a Hit! We Can’t Keep Up With the Beer!

Farmington has always needed a great pizzeria right downtown. Now that it’s been open a couple of months and the dust has settled it’s obvious that Farmington has one. With LOTS of choices to customize your pizza JUST THE WAY YOU LIKE IT! From a bunch of different sauces to many different kinds of meats and sausages, from every imaginable veggie to great cheeses, you can truly build your own pizza. There are so many choices it may take you a while just to figure out exactly what you want. And there’s a lot more than just pizza.

There is one repercussion due to the success of Three Rivers Pizzeria: We just can’t keep up with the beer! Try as we might – brewers Daniel and Peter are brewing as fast as they can – an empty tap has appeared here and there. With the warm weather already here, Three Rivers now realizes there will be no way to keep all 12 taps flowing through the busy summer. We want to be proactive about this situation and decide WHICH taps will flow and WHICH won’t. We certainly don’t want to run out of Papa Bear’s Golden Honey Ale, Red Flyer Apple Cider, India Pale Ale, or Arroyo Amber Ale – our  most popular beers — so we’ve made the decision to take Chaco Nut Brown Ale and the rotating Pale Ales off tap, at least for the summer. We intend to bring them back as seasonals so you’ll definitely see them again. And we hope that they’ll be flowing again sometime in the fall. You’ll still have 10 different beers to choose from at the Pub, Pizzeria, and the Tap Room. Don’t forget, there are also 2 beers on cask in the Tap Room; check out your favorite beer on cask, or try some new creation Peter and Daniel have come up with to tingle your taste buds!

Hi there! I’m writing you from Destee-Nation Shirt Company, bounty-hunters of local culture.

Our t-shirt scout, Gabe, is making an epic road trip in a 1967 Airstream trailer, looking for cool independent businesses and local icons around the country. When he finds them, we feature their stories on our website and create vintage-style t-shirts to spread their awesomeness around the world.

Feedback on our website led us to Three Rivers Brewery, and we’re already huge fans. We love the logo and the local integrity that the place seems to have.
We’d really like to feature Three Rivers on our website and with our national retailers.
I’ve included a couple of hyperlinks in this email, so that you can check out who we are and what we do.

Gabe, our scout, is passing through New Mexico on Route 66, and would be happy to make the trip to Farmington speak with you.
Can you tell me when might be a good time in the next couple of days for him to stop by?
    Thank you kindly!

I wanted to send a message to the management at 3RB, but can’t find a way to do that from the website!

Anyway, whenever I’m in town (travelling to/from Pagosa Springs), I always enjoy stopping in for some tasty food and an outstanding brew.

I stopped in with my family for lunch on Sunday, 5/31, and were having the usual great experience, when I noticed the music. I’m not sure if it was a satellite radio feed or what, but the content would not have passed muster with the FCC!

The first tune that got my attention was “Piss Up a Rope”, by Ween, one of my favorite bands. Hmm, not a song that’s really appropriate for lunchtime with your young kids. Fortunately, I don’t think anyone but me noticed.

A bit later, I noticed my 10-year-old humming along to a grinding tune that I recognized as “Burn, motherf*cker, burn”. Okay, now I was not pleased! I was too upset to say anything to any of the staff at the time.

I understand that 3RB is a brewery (i.e., an adult place), but it’s also a family eatery – complete with a kid’s menu, and even a kid’s play area. Can you guys please look into your music feed, and try to keep it clean during ‘family hours’?

    Thanks for listening.

    Kurt,
Sorry it has taken so long to reply to you, but we were having some problems with our site, that are now finally corrected. We are sorry that you and your family heard questionable music during your visit. Not to make excuses, but what occasionally happens is that we rock out music all morning while we are preparing to open, and then forget to change it to a more suitable channel for our guests. We definitely are not trying to offend anyone. We just get caught up doing what were doing and space changing the channel. We usually try and have it on the oldies channel or a classic rock channel, so next time your in if your hearing music that you’d rather not hear, just let us know and we will change it. After all, your enjoyment of your visit to us is always what we are trying to achieve, and not just your enjoyment of our food and beverages. We pride ourselves on how successful we usually are on making your whole experience at any of our establishments enjoyable in all aspects including atmosphere, and we definetly pride ourselves as being a family friendly destination. Again, I would like to apologize on behalf of our family here at Three Rivers to your family, and we hope to see you soon if you haven’t already been back to see us. Thanks for taking the time of sending us your comment, if people didn’t let us know what they did or didn’t like about their visit we wouldn’t be able to fix the problem.

    Sincerely,

We just finished our meal at the pizzeria.

I have had pizza all across this great land of ours. The Louisiana Pizza Kitchen in New Orleans was #2, and the Flatbread Company in Portland, Maine was #1. They have all slipped down one place, though.

The pizzeria and the staff are first rate, and the Rocky Marciano is the best pizza we have ever had. Bar none.

It’s a shame that our home is 1639 miles away, or we would be here every Saturday night. Rest assured that we will do everything in our power to spread the word that the pilgrimage ends at 101 Main Street, Farmington, New Mexico.

Oh, and please let the brewmaster know that the Hop Scotch Ale is a plus as well.

    Jeff, Karen, and Hannah,

Thank you very much for your visit and your comments. We in the kitchen pride ourselves on making sure that the final product we present will be successful and enjoyed, and the pizza is no different. We spent many hours working on recipes trying to come up not only with a great pizza, but also a pizza that was going to be unique, and we feel that we have accomplished that, and your comments have helped verify that. So, thanks again, we are glad you enjoyed your time with us, and if your ever back this way, make sure you stop in and see us.

    Sincerely,
    Jesse Gravelle
    Executive Chef
