The next meeting of homebrewers (and prospective homebrewers) is coming up! Here’s all the info:

Daniel Sawyer of ubru Home Brewing & Wine Making Supplies ( 1408 N. Hutton in Farmington) will be brewing a Light 60/- (which means 60 schilling) Scottish Ale. He’ll be demonstrating how to brew from a homebrew kit using extracts (which is the best and easiest way to learn). Walter Danver, who has won numerous homebrewing awards, will be brewing an all-grain batch of Export 80/- Scottish Ale. Since it’s a longer process (essentially, Walter will be making his own extract) he’ll be starting at about 2:00 PM. For an all-grain brewing experience you should come down early and watch (and talk!) to Walter.
Either way, though, come on down and see how beer is made. And see how you can brew your own beer at home. Daniel and Walter know a lot about homebrewing and would love to share what they know. While you’re at the Tap Room, try one of 3RB’s Scottish-style ales — either the 90/- Scottish Ale or the bigger Hop Scotch Ale, whichever is pouring — or one of the 10 or 11 other beers on tap.
